Super picky groups by Showa-Sylvie Super picky groups by Showa-Sylvie
Uhhh oh boy. Another rant by me. Why hasn't anyone made this stamp? who knows.

Anyway...
The stamp says it all. Super picky groups piss me off. Seriously. I can understand if a group is just a little picky, That"s fine with me, I can tolerate that.
BUT!
What really gets on me are the super picky groups. We all have encountered these groups. They only accept VERY precise artworks, writing, animations etc. If your artwork does not reach their "perfectness", it's gonna get declined. No matter how hard you work on your piece, it"s going to get declined UNLESS it meets up with the groups "expectations".

Some groups even declined the works of certain people. Now, that is just rude!

:[

Groups like this must realize that new artists would really like to show their work to others. They also must realize that all artist had to start somewhere. Even amazing artists had to start somewhere!

So, if you ever got your art declined from a picky group, do not worry. Just keep practicing and one day that group will accept your art work :)
You may even change the opinion of that group.

i agree. Some groups which stand for the best and the elite reject alone the request to join. Shitty groups.
The bigger the more arrogant they become. I have often observed this.

It's a pain in the ass. I've done two celeb portraits in pen, and one that I thought was VERY good for a freehand, got declined ,because the border of the paper was showing, and apparently my shadows weren't good enough. There were also "innacuracies in the facial structure". Oh well

Well I wouldn't consider myself a rookie, but I'm nowhere near as good as some other artists on here.

It's even worse when they decline your work with insulting your art and calling it bad things.
And yeah, I know what are the 2 groups you are talking about ;p

I run a group where anyone can submit to any of the folders, but I will only accept high-quality art to the featured folder. I feel bad when I decline art though, so I'm not very picky about it. As long as the person put a lot of effort into it, or it's an idea or something that deserves to be noticed, I'll most likely accept it even if the art isn't that well made. I see no reason why a picture shouldn't be included in a group at all just because it isn't that good, so art submitted to any of my other folders are automatically accepted.

I know how you feel though. Back when I first joined dA and my art sucked I wanted to submit this [link] to a group, but they declined it. :c But after I got Photoshop I re-did it [link] , and the group finally accepted it.
